There were few lodges inside Park before however its been shut down by the government so there is not any hotel inside the park to stay. Located in the Southern Central Terai of Nepal, it formerly extended over the foothills, the property covers an area of 93,200 hectares, extends over four districts: Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Parsa, and Makwanpur.  Chitwan National Park was a hunting site for Royal Family of Nepal previously which is been converted to a preserved park from 1973 and listed in UNESCO heritage site in 1984.
